History Group's Teaching and Research
On the morning of 13th May, 2022, history teacher Wang Qi of the Senior High Department held a high-quality review class for the second round of Senior Three, which took the southward shift of the economic center in ancient China as the theme and comprehensively introduced the concept, process, reason, performance and influence of the southward shift of the economic center.
To be concrete, Wang Qi's class was clear, interlinked and problem-oriented, which guided the students to analyze layer by layer and step by step. What's more, this lesson was supplemented with relevant historical materials so that the students could make an in-depth analysis of the causes and effects of the southward shift of the economic center based on historical materials, which embodied the new teaching idea that students are the main body and teachers and students should explore together. Additionally, the highlight of this lesson was that the students actively participated in class so that they not only mastered the knowledge, but also trained their ability, and improved their historical core literacy.
To sum up, after class, the teachers in the history group spoke highly of the teaching of this lesson in that everyone expressed that they benefited a lot. More noticeably, from the preview before class to the interaction in class, from the interpretation of textbook contents to the analysis of supplementary historical materials, it not only showcased the exquisite teaching skills of Wang Qi, but also reflected the meticulous learning attitude and solid learning foundation of the 12th grade students of Anqing Foreign Language School. Last but not the least, this lesson combined teacher's leading role with student's dominant position and the frequent interaction between teachers and students created an efficient history lesson.
